PMI Trust Fund provided financial support to enable CoorsTek trainee Jason Allen to acquire detailed training and practice in the use of robotic handling systems and equipment at the Fanuc Academy at Ansty Business Park, Coventry in December 2022
Slip Casting Training for Ionix Advanced Technologies
Slip casting is the process of producing green ceramic bodies from a ceramic slurry, or slip, using a plaster mould to cast the desired shape. This has an advantage over traditional ceramic processing in that this allows production of tapered or spherical shapes without significant post processing.

Don Gebbett, Inventor
PMI has supported the work of veteran researcher Don Gebbett to take his invention and develop its attractive properties for the modern-day challenges of fusion. In 1966, Don patented a process to produce Mg2B2O5, a novel ceramic material which he called Jeanite.
